Additional Aircraft Type Rating Course


Pilots who wish to obtain additional type rating on their pilot’s license either in a Single-Engine or Multi-Engine Land Airplane below 12,500 lbs may enroll in this course.  


Training

The training includes classroom lecture in areas such as airplane performance, characteristics, normal, and emergency procedures.  The actual flight training will be conducted in the specific aircraft which the applicant is applying for.  A minimum of 10.0 hrs is required by the regulations for additional aircraft type rating, however, additional hours may be conducted to meet proficiency level.


Eligibility

Applicants must have the following:

  1. Current Pilot’s License.
  2. Valid Airman Medical Certificate.

Admission

To enroll in the Additional Aircraft Type Rating Course, the applicant must submit the following documents:

  1. Application for Admission or you may fill-up the eReservation System.
  2. Photo copy of Pilot's License and Airman Medical Certificate.
  3. Police Clearance from your country of origin. [for foreign applicants]
  4. Photo copy of Passport. [for foreign applicants]
  5. Registration Fee of US $250.00 [for foreign applicants]

A confirmation letter will be sent when all documents are received by the Director of Student Admission and Service.  International students will receive a letter addressed to the Embassy of the Philippines for their application of a Philippine Temporary Visitor’s Visa.
