Visa Requirements

International students may obtain a Philippine visa prior to their arrival in the Philippines.  A Philippine Temporary Visitor’s Visa or a Student Visa is required depending on the training program.  For programs that are less than 6 months in duration, a Philippine temporary visitor’s visa may be obtained.  However, a student visa is required for courses that are more than 6 months in duration.

Applicants may also check if they belong to the lists of countries that do not need a visa to enter the Philippines http://www.dfa.gov.ph/consular/visa.htm

The academy will facilitate visa requirements to foreign applicants who provide complete documents for enrollment.  These documents must be original and authenticated by the Embassy of the Philippines in the country of origin.

The student applicant must submit the following documents:

  1. Police Clearance from the country of origin (Authenticated by the Embassy of the Philippines).
  2. Affidavit of Support from Parents, Guardian, or Guarantor (Authenticated).
  3. Parent’s Consent for students below 21 years of age (Authenticated).
  4. Transcript of Records – High School or College (Authenticated).
  5. Birth Certificate (Authenticated).
  6. ID photo with white polo shirt and white background (size 2x2 = 4 pcs & size 1x1 = 4 pcs).

Foreign Students who enrolled in programs of less than 6 months in duration will apply for a Special Study Permit after arrival.  This allows the student to legally obtain training while holding a Philippine Temporary Visitor’s Visa.

After the receipt of the above documents, the Student Admission and Service will provide the Embassy of the Philippines of that country all the relevant details in order for the student applicant to obtain a Philippine Temporary Visitor’s Visa or a Student Visa whichever is required.

You may contact the Marketing & Communications Personnel for further inquiries about visa requirements.

The academy is accredited by the Philippine Bureau of Immigration and Deportation to accept foreign students and to assist their visa requirements and permits. The processing time for a visa or a special study permit varies depending on the completeness of the documents, if it is authenticated by the Embassy of the Philippines, and the government system. It is important to understand that the processing of these documents is under the government’s authority and not under the school’s control.  Therefore, we strongly suggest that foreign students must submit complete documents with proper authentication from the Embassy of the Philippines in their country.

Meals

The academy’s cafeteria is opened from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, Monday thru Saturday.  Variety of cuisines is served in a “pay-per-meal” status allowing students to budget their personal meal allowance accordingly.

Students who need special catering services must arrange in advance with the cafeteria manager.

Housing

There are various accommodation preferences such as hotels, pension houses, apartments, and dormitories near the school campus.  Rates will depend on the class and type of accommodation preferred by the student.  An Accommodation Request Form is available if assistance is needed.

The Student Admission and Service Personnel will facilitate accommodation request of students who submitted this form.  Students who wish to find their own accommodation may visit www.dumagueteinfo.com for more information.

Medical Requirements

Medical examination for the issuance of an airman medical certificate is conducted under our facility.  However, we require students to have their airman medical certificate prior to their arrival in our institution.

  1. Chest X-Ray
  2. Urinalysis
  3. ECG / EKG
  4. Dental Records
  5. Neuro Psychological Exam
  6. Drug Screening Urinalysis Test

International students or pilots holding a valid airman medical certificate from their country may convert their certificate after arrival.  The above requirements are still required for the conversion.

License Application

The Student Admission and Service Personnel are authorized to facilitate license application of students, pilots, and other professionals taking courses in our academy. We require students to submit the original documents on time to prevent any delays or denial of the application.  International students must clear first with the Immigration and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Philippine Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) prior to their application of a particular license.

Below are lists of CAAP applications that you need to print and submit to the Student Admission & Service.

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the application are properly filled-up and their license are processed accordingly at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. Delays are normally caused by in-correct entries in the form and incomplete documents.

Insurance

International students must have health and accident insurance before they travel to the Philippines. It is important to ensure assistance if any untoward incidents may occur. Students may also request from us on how to avail of health and accident insurance from our authorized insurance agents.

Employment Placement

Our graduates are always given the priority for employment such as flight dispatch, intern instructors, or intern mechanics. Job endorsement is also provided to promote their employment potential.
