Air Charter Operators


Air charter companies are one of the job prospects for aircraft mechanics.  These companies are sometimes referred to as air taxi operators and some are commuter or non-scheduled flights.  Services may vary depending on the aircraft they used.  Some provides flying tour or scenic tour using small single-engine, 4 seat airplanes, to twin engine airplanes with 19 seats or less.  They may also used helicopters in this type of service for tourist.  Some air charter companies provide passenger transfer to other places that are not served by airlines.  Mail delivery and cargo forwarding are one of the few services rendered by some companies.  Transport of VIPs using executive business jets are catered by some charter companies operating either local or international flights. 

As an aircraft mechanic you have a wide range of selection to what charter company you preferred to work.  You may focus on fixed or rotary wing aircraft from pistons to turbines.  Nevertheless, some charter companies send their mechanics abroad for training on the specific type of aircraft they operate.  Who knows you’ll be one.
